To All, Branches, and members our Eventing Championships weekend has just passed, and it was great to see the displays of the athleticism and sportsmanship by all competitors over the course of the whole weekend. It was a wonderful weekend for all three different disciplines run over the two days. This would not have been possible without the help, support, and backup of my amazing Eventing committee, for all their hard work that they put into the organisation and running of the championship and overseeing all the qualifier events.
On behalf of the Eventing committee and the Irish Pony Club I have to recognise and thank our sponsors for the championships and the eventing qualifiers Connolly’s Redmills, Foran Equine and Carr Day And Martin for their gracious and continued sponsorship of eventing in the Irish Pony Club.
We once again returned to the magnificent and pristine grounds of Tattersalls Ire. To Mr.Simon Kerins CEO of Tattersalls Ire and his exceptional team. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness and hospitality for providing us with the amazing facilities of Tattersalls Ire. A special mention of thanks to Mr. Eugene O’Neill of Tattersalls Ire for the amazing cross-country courses that he designed and built and for all his help and support in the weeks before and throughout the whole weekend.
Another special mention of thanks to our technical delegate and assistant technical delegates who worked tirelessly and supported the Eventing committee all over the weekend.
On behalf of the Eventing committee thank you to all the branches who organised and ran all the eventing qualifiers under what we will say as trying conditions at times this year for to make this championship happen.
When running and organising these championship events it is imperative to have the help and support of families, volunteers, and branches. So, to all of you who have helped in anyway over the weekend thank you very much. You are the backbone that holds the Irish Pony club together and ensures its continued growth and success. Without all of you giving your time these events would not happen.
To all the competitors and Irish Pony Club members the biggest thanks goes to you. You were the stars of the show. Whether out competing at qualifiers or at the championships. You are a credit to your branches, families and fantastic representatives of the Irish Pony Club and the trail blazers for the younger members to look up to and aspire to. Please keep up the excellent horsemanship and comradery witnessed at the weekend and continue to be the fantastic ambassadors that you all are for the Irish Pony Club.
