Message from the Irish Pony Club Show Jumping Chairman
Sunday, we arrived up in McKee Barracks, where we were welcomed in by our Supervisor Cpl. Burke. We settled in and packed our things away and headed off to check in to our hotel.
After waiting what seemed a very long 5 ½ months since winning the bursary I was actually going to McKee barracks for the weeks training. I arrived with Sarah at 4 o’clock on the dot after her dad kindly offered to take both horses up in his lorry.
Congratulations to Irish Pony Club members, Sarah O'Donnell from Kilkenny Hunt Branch and Yousef Sallam from Tipperary Hunt Branch who had an unforgettable week at the Army Equitation School in McKee Barracks last week (February 17th to 21st).
The Irish Pony Club Festival, to be held in Barnadown on Thursday 30th, Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st August, marks the highlight of the competitive Show Jumping year, with teams qualifying and competing from across all areas.
The Irish Pony Club would like to wish Sarah O'Donnell, Kilkenny Hunt Branch and Yousef Sallam, Tipperary Hunt Branch the very best of luck as they embark on their week-long training bursary to the Army Equitation School at McKee Barracks in Dublin.
