Irish Pony Club News

The 2019 Irish Pony Club Festival will take place in Barnadown Show Jumping on Thursday 25, Friday 26th and Saturday 27th of July. 

Competitors who have qualified for the Festival Championships may now register their entry on their Branches Its Plain Sailing page.   Parents and competitors will have the option to enter the following championships on their Branches Its Plain Sailing page:

  • IPC Festival Championship 2019 – Musical Ride
  • IPC Festival Championship 2019 – Mounted Games
  • IPC Festival Championship 2019 – Pure Dressage and Combined Training
  • IPC Festival Championship 2019 – Show Jumping

Select the relevant discipline from the list and complete the application form for the discipline and class which the competitor has qualified for.  Where members are competing in multiple disciplines, please remember to fill in the details of these competitions in the relevant fields on the application form. (With this information, we will endeavour, where possible to accommodate these competitors.)

Branches must submit their entries for the Festival to the IPC office before Thursday 18th July 2019 at 11am. Check with your individual Branches to identify your Branches closing date for entries.

Provisional Timetable for the Festival

  • Thursday 25th July:
    • Champion Hats U-10 and U-12 Combined Training
    • Junior Mounted Games.
  • Friday 26th July:
    • Champion Hats Pure Dressage Team and Individual
    • Champion Hats Junior, Novice, Intermediate, Open and Senior Associate Combined Training
    • TRI Equestrian U12 Show Jumping (Alice Mernagh)
    • Musical Ride
    • Senior B Mounted Games.
  • Saturday 27th July:
    • TRI Equestrian U-14 Show Jumping (Robbie Bailey), Intermediate Show Jumping (John Ledingham), Senior Team, Senior Individual Show Jumping
    • U-10 Mounted Games

Start times will be published on the IPC website when they have been confirmed.  Dressage times and competition numbers will also be published on the IPC website once they have been finalised.

Farrier

The farrier will be on site in the barn behind the Tack Shop in Barnadown on Thursday 25th from 9am to 10am, on Friday 26th from 8am to 9am and on Saturday 27th from 8am to 9am. 

Prizegiving

All competitors must present for their prizegiving in competition dress.  The commentator will announce full details for the prizegivings on each day of the competition.

All competitors at the Irish Pony Club Festival Championships must be paid up members of the Irish Pony Club. Therefore, please ensure that all members intending to compete at the Festival have paid up and received their IPC Membership Card.
