Application Closing Date Extended for the 2020 International Foxhunting Exchange Chaperone
The Irish Pony Club is delighted to announce that the application closing date has been extended for the position of Chaperone for the 2020 International Foxhunting Exchange.
The 2020 International Foxhunting Exchange will be held in the Southeast U.S. from November 20th to November 29th 2020. This invitation is extended to one team of four members, and one team manager (chaperone). Team members must be between 16-25 as of January 1, 2020 and must have passed their C+ Test and be capable of riding strange horses.
Teams will fly into the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (ATL) on Friday, November 20 and fly out on Sunday, November 29 from the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (ATL). This exchange will fall over the U.S. Holiday of Thanksgiving, and it will be a wonderful opportunity for members to experience and enjoy this uniquely American celebration. On arrival in the U.S. participants of the exchange will begin an itinerary of cultural experiences throughout the Southeast U.S., including sightseeing, equine related activities and hunting on three or more occasions during the trip. The teams will be housed with host families for the duration of the exchange.
Interested applicants may apply by downloading the form below, detailing your hunting and Pony Club experience. Chaperones may be hunting or non-hunting participants and we discourage parents of participants from being chaperones. The land fee for each participant (members and Team Manager) will be approximately €1,000. The exact figure will be confirmed at a later date. The land fee does not include the cost of travel, travel insurance and other associated expenditure for the exchange. The Irish Pony Club will research and calculate the total fees for the exchange during 2020.
Have you ever thought of chaperoning a group of Irish Pony Club members?
We are looking forward to receiving your responses and your applications. Further information will be published on this exchange as it is received.
