‘The Use of Equine Hydrotherapy in Performance Horses’ with Fiona FitzGibbon BSc MIRVAP IEH'
This webinar is set to be highly educational and informative and is suitable for coaches of all levels, riders and owners. It will explore the use of equine water treadmills and equine hydrotherapy spas in both performance and rehabilitation.
Fiona is an expert equine hydrotherapist, working with competition yards around the world. During this webinar she will cover a range of topics including the benefits of hydrotherapy and programmes and protocols.
Fiona is currently the research and training manager for ECB Equine Spa. Before this she pioneered Ireland’s first purpose built equine rehabilitation centre with a water treadmill and managed the facility for two years.

Biomechanics of Horse and Rider from a Coaching Perspective’ Webinar Series with Dr Russell MacKechnie Guire.
Dr. Russell MacKechnie Guire of Centaur Biomechanics will deliver a two-part webinar series on biomechanics.
Part 1 of the webinar series will focus on equine biomechanics and will take place on Tuesday 27th April at 6pm. Part 2 of the series will focus on rider biomechanics and will take place on Tuesday 11th May at 6pm.
The series is aimed towards HSI Level 2 and 3 Coaches and is also suitable for riders or anyone else with an interest. Participants can attend one or both webinars.
Russell is a leading expert in the field of biomechanics, he holds a PhD in Equine Biomechanics, graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019.
In 2006 Russell founded Centaur Biomechanics. He has extensively researched the effect that tack has on equine health and performance and is currently researching different topics including horse-saddle-rider interaction, spinal kinematics and much more.
In addition to this Russell collaborates on various research projects associated with equine health and performance around the world. He regularly presents at international meetings and is a consultant for the British Equestrian Federations (BEF) World Class, Team GBR programme. Russell is also a member of the Team GBR’s Scientific Advisory Group.
