The Irish Pony Club

The Irish Pony Club is divided into 9 Areas.

Each Area has a number of Branches and is represented on the Executive Committee by an elected Area Representative.

Each Branch covers a geographical area and is run according to the rules of the Irish Pony Club.

A Branch is run by a voluntary District Commissioner helped by a voluntary Branch Local Committee. Each Branch organises a full programme of working rallies and other fixtures, which usually take place during school holidays. These include competitions, annual camp, training, outings and social events.

In the summer Area qualifiers are held. These determine who qualifies from each Area in Show Jumping, Dressage, Combined Training and Junior and Under 10 Mounted Games. The Championships are then held at the Pony Club Festival, which is usually held in late July/early August.
